Privacy Policy

Who We Are

BreezyTools ("we", "us", "our") operates the website breezytools.com. We provide free, browser-based utility tools for text processing, image manipulation, SEO optimization, development tasks, and more. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit our website.

Your Data Stays on Your Device

All tools on BreezyTools run entirely in your web browser using client-side technologies. We do not collect, store, process, or transmit any text, images, files, or other content you input into our tools. Your data never leaves your device. We have no access to the content you work with in our tools.

Information We Collect

While your tool input data stays private on your device, we do collect limited information through third-party services to help us understand how our website is used and to support the site through advertising:

Analytics data: We use third-party analytics and session recording services to collect anonymized usage statistics. This may include information such as pages visited, time spent on pages, browser type, device type, operating system, screen resolution, approximate geographic region, and general interaction patterns. This data is aggregated and is used solely to improve the website experience. It is not used to personally identify individual visitors.

Advertising data: We work with third-party advertising partners to display ads on our website. These partners may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to serve ads based on your browsing activity across websites. You can manage your ad personalization preferences through your browser settings or through the opt-out mechanisms provided by our advertising partners.

BreezyTools Pro waitlist: If you join the Pro waitlist, we store the email address you enter, the time you signed up, the country your request came from (as reported by our hosting provider, Cloudflare), and your browser's user-agent string. This is kept in Cloudflare's storage service and a notification of the signup is sent to our team through Discord. We use it only to tell you when Pro is available. To have your entry deleted, contact us using the address below.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies placed by our third-party analytics and advertising partners. These cookies help us understand website traffic patterns, measure the effectiveness of our content, and serve relevant advertisements. We do not use cookies to track your personal identity or to build a profile of you for our own purposes beyond standard website analytics and ad delivery.

By continuing to use our website, you acknowledge the use of these cookies. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Please note that disabling cookies may affect some website functionality. Most modern browsers also offer "Do Not Track" settings — while there is no universal standard for how websites respond to these signals, we respect your preference where technically feasible through our third-party service configurations.

How We Use Information

The limited data collected through analytics and advertising services is used to: understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it, monitor website performance and identify technical issues, support the website through advertising revenue, and comply with legal obligations where applicable.

Third-Party Services

We use third-party services for analytics, session recording, and advertising. These services operate under their own privacy policies and may collect information as described in their respective policies. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you interact with. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Advertising by Google

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info. Learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Analytics Services

We measure site usage with Google Analytics 4, and we use Microsoft Clarity for aggregated heatmaps and session recordings that help us find usability problems. Both are managed through Cloudflare Zaraz, which runs on Cloudflare's network and forwards usage data to these services. These services record how the site is used, such as pages viewed, clicks, and scrolling. Session recording works by observing the page in your browser, so on every tool page we mark the entire tool area with Clarity's masking setting, which tells Clarity to hide its contents: the text you type and the results shown on screen are masked in recordings. The files you open are processed on your device and are never uploaded to us or to these services.

Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to external websites and services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of any third-party websites. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of every external site you visit.

Data Retention

Since our tools process data entirely in your browser, we retain no user-generated content. Analytics and advertising data is retained by our third-party service providers according to their own retention policies. We do not maintain independent databases of user activity. The only personal data we store ourselves is the Pro waitlist described above, which we keep until Pro launches or until you ask us to delete it.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect our website and the limited data we handle. Our website is served over HTTPS encryption. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights Under GDPR (European Economic Area)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access any personal data we hold about you, the right to request correction of inaccurate data, the right to request deletion of your data, the right to restrict or object to processing of your data, and the right to data portability. Since our tools do not collect or store personal data, and our analytics data is anonymized and aggregated, these rights primarily apply to any data held by our third-party service providers. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at [email protected] and we will assist you in directing your request appropriately.

Your Rights Under CCPA (California)

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected about you, the right to request deletion of your personal information, the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your CCPA rights. We do not sell personal information. As noted above, the data we collect through third-party analytics is anonymized and aggregated. To exercise your rights or make a verifiable consumer request, please contact us at [email protected].

International Users

BreezyTools is available to users worldwide. By using our website, you acknowledge that the limited analytics and advertising data described above may be processed in countries other than your own, which may have different data protection laws. We rely on our third-party service providers to implement appropriate safeguards for any international data transfers.

Children's Privacy

Our website and tools are not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, regulatory, or operational reasons. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of the website after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
